Thesis 38: Patriarchy and the Temple

The True Temple is in Heaven[1]; the temple in Jerusalem was but an earthly model of it.[2] This pedagogical teaching aid was destroyed at the end of the Old Covenant world.[3] The body of Jesus, the Second Adam, was a model of the New Temple, and of the Redeemed individual.[4] The Body of Christ (His Church) is now the New Temple.[5] We will never see another earthly temple (building) constructed by God’s Elect.[6]

The building of a temple in Jerusalem by either Jews or Moslems has no Biblical significance (except to deny the teachings of the Bible). The Bible neither prophesies or condones such a construction project.
