"Salvation" is political.
1. Genesis 49:17-20
17 Dan shall be a serpent by the way,
A viper by the path,
That bites the horse’s heels
So that its rider shall fall backward.
18 I have waited for your salvation, O LORD!
19 “Gad, a troop shall tramp upon him,
But he shall triumph at last.
This is one of the earliest occurrences of the word "salvation" in the Bible.
It has to do with military victory.
The overwhelming majority of occurrences of the word "salvation" in the Bible do not point to "heaven" after death. They describe social, political, military, economic, and medical health. In this world.
